Other Job Titles:  Guest Entertainer (Princess), Fly-On Entertainer (Carnival Cruise Lines); Cruise lines are always looking for uniquely talented performers such as comedians, specialty acts, illusionists, musicians, and vocalists.

Job Description:  Entertainer travels to different ships to perform.

Experience and Skills Required:  Professional entertainers will be required to submit promotional material and demo CD/DVD through a talent submission or audition process.

Port Lecturer

Other Job Titles:  Travel and Port Guide (Holland America Line); Destination Lecturer

Job Description:  Conduct presentations about the ports that the cruise ships visit. This position is completely separate from the Port and Shopping Guide/Presenter.

Experience and Skills Required:  Engaging presentation skills; Knowledge of geography, history, wildlife and culture of the destinations that the cruise ships visit; Experience in using multimedia such as PowerPoint to conduct seminars.

Average Salary:  Negotiable; Some cruise lines only offer volunteer positions although some cruise lines may pay a monthly salary.

Enrichment Lecturer

Other Job Titles:  Guest Speaker (Holland America); Naturalist; Instructor

Job Description:  Conduct seminars and presentations for the guests throughout the cruise.

Experience and Skills Required:  Engaging presentation skills; Qualified experts in topics such as art, wildlife, music, history, and technology. Audio and visual presentations are preferred.

Gentleman Host

Job Description:  Social host; Have dinner and dance with single female guests

Experience and Skills Required:  Single men, 40 to 68 years old, with good dancing skills.

Other Job Titles:  Religious Service Leaders, Catholic Priest, Rabbi, Protestant Ministers

Job Description:  Provide religious services for guests.

Experience and Skills Required:  Credentials are reviewed as needed. Catholic Priests must be a member of the Apostleship of the Seas.

Bridge Instructor

Job Description:  Participates and conducts bridge as a cruise activity.

Experience and Skills Required:  Certified through the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL); Previous cruise ship experience preferred.
