Pandaw River Expeditions offers river cruises through Burma, Vietnam and Cambodia. Its history dates back to when the owner, Paul Strachan revived the Irrawaddy Flotilla Company in 1995. He thought to pioneer cruises on the Irrawaddy River (aka: Ayeyarwady River) through Burma. In 1998, Paul Strachan leased and restored an original Clyde-built steamer called the Pandaw.

Today, the Strachan family continues to own Pandaw Cruises and grow the fleet. Each of their ships were built new and designed as replicas of colonial river steamers. Crew are a mix of Asian nationalities.
